Swedish Massage ($60 per 60-minute massage)
Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility. The use of hot bamboo (warmed cane or wood) to promote further relaxation is always included at no extra charge.
Craniosacral Massage ($60 per 60-minute massage)
CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle yet powerful technique that is effective in releasing neck pain, back pain, and mental stress (among other things). It does this by optimizing the movement of cerebrospinal fluid through the spine and around the skull. Developed by physician John E. Upledger, this therapy provides a very soothing and relaxing healing experience.
Hot Stone Massage ($80 per 90-minute massage)
Hot Stone Massage uses water-heated basalt stones to promote a deeper sense of relaxation. Larger stones are placed on key points of the body while smaller stones are used to massage the muscles. This massage requires a minimum of 90 minutes to perform.
Enhancements (additional $5 with traditional Swedish massage)
Combine your traditional Swedish massage with any of the following enhancements for just an additional $5!
Aromatherapy: The use of essential oils in massage can be used to help relieve headaches, insomnia, stress and anxiety. Choose from Lavender Garden, Mint & Rosemary, or Aches & Pains blend.
Sugar Foot Scrub: A sugar foot scrub is used to rejuvenate aching feet, soften skin and increase circulation through the application of hot towels, a specially blended lavender sugar scrub and shea butter.
Topical Treatments for Muscle Pain: The use of hot towels, Prossage lotion (a special heat-activated massage lotion) and BioFreeze gel is applied to one of three specific areas–arms & hands, legs & feet, or back–to provide deeper relief to sore muscles.
On-Site Chair Massage ($1 per minute)
Chair massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension right in your home or workplace. You receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair which I bring to your location. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. With seated massage, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule.
